Ernestine Shepherd is a role model to all women out there, regardless of age. At 74, she is now the holder of the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest female body builder.
To those who have doubts and reason out that Ms. Shepherd may have been building muscle and working out since she was young, well, it is important to know that she only started in her fifties. In fact, to be exact about her age, she started getting conscious about physical fitness at the age of 54. She got this inspiration with her sister with whom she exercised and trained every day until her sister died of an aneurysm. She continued her daily workouts and became even more competitive in bodybuilding because she has made a promise with her sister to go competitive even at their age. She went out and won two bodybuilding titles to her name. Her active lifestyle includes daily cardio, weight training and teaching physical fitness. She is a living example of what she teaches and she lives what she preaches.
